Description
This Library was built as a Civil War Memorial, town museum and library, containing a room with a memorial vestibule which was designed to display war relics. The exterior is decorated with tablets made out of Tennessee marble on the front face of the building, which list the names of 36 men from Bridgewater who were killed between 1861 and 1865. Located in the town centre, the buildng still functions as a community hub and working library.
